Charolais breed

The Charolais breed originates from the province of Charolais, Eastern France, which is characterized by mild climate and green pastures. The century long breeding process resulted in the targeted development of weight gaining features such as improved meat quality and slaughter yield. The Charolais breed has high stamina and can live up to 14 years.

The breed is large and tall in constitution with exterior features such as thin hair, which can range from yellow to white. Furthermore, the body is elongated, containing loose musculature, with low limbs.
